FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Q: Is my Child eligible for funding?

A: All 3 & 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of funding per week.  Some children are entitled to 30 hours of funding, please go to www.childcarechoices.gov.uk to check what funding is available to you. 

Funding will start the term after their 3rd birthday.

2 year old funding is available in some circumstances, please go to www.childcarechoices.gov.uk to check what funding is available to you. 

 

Q: What is the minimum amount of sessions my child can attend?

A: We would prefer children to attend at least 2 sessions per week to help them to settle in to the setting, however, we would accept children at the setting for just 1 session.

 

Q: When will my child's funding come into effect?

A: Funding will start the term after your child's 3rd birthday.  If you are entitled to 2 year old funding, this will come into effect the term after their 2nd birthday.

 

Q: When should I apply for my child's primary school place?

A: Your child will be due to go to school in the September after their 4th birthday.  Applications can be made from the September before this, the last date for applications is around the 15th of January. The actual date will be communicated to parents/carers nearer the time.

 

Q: How do I pay for my child's unfunded sessions?

A: Unfunded session fees will be invoiced monthly and payment is due in advance. Payment must be made by bank transfer.
